Liên Boon is a social scientist, who graduated from the University of Ghent in MSc Sociology, majoring in culture and education. She wrote her thesis about the impact of social relations on the school futility of children in high school. Liên is specialized in quantitative research strategies, using statistical programs such as STATA & SPSS. During her last year of her Bachelor, she also assisted on a qualitative research study for Dr. Mart Willekens, concerning the cultural participation in Flanders. Since September 2015, she is working at EPRI/SPRI as a research assistant on multidimensional poverty and vulnerability assessment using the Multiple Overlapping Deprivation Analysis (MODA).
