Krzysztof Hagemejer has more than 20 years of experience in the research, policy development, standard setting and the fieldwork of the International Labour Office in various areas of social policy and sustainable development, and in particular in the issues of pensions, social security/social protection policy, financing, monitoring and evaluation.  He specializes also in economic and financial aspects of social policies, in particular in monitoring adequacy, and sustainability, as well as in capacity building in these areas. He is co-author of the master degree course concept and curriculum in “Financing Social Protection”, initiated in 2001 by the ILO and Maastricht University, where he is also a visiting lecturer. Currently, he is Professor in the Social Security Department at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, Germany and also lecturer at Collegium Civitas, Warsaw.
