Mise en place du N-MODA pour l’Algérie/ Establish N-MODA for Algeria
November 2015- December 2016
The consultancy mainly aimed at training a selection of members of a local research institute (Conseil National Économique et Social) to child poverty analyses using the MODA methodology. The training sessions equipped the participants with the necessary knowledge for carrying out in-house child poverty studies using the MODA method. In addition, the project included a “Training of Trainers” component to ensure participants could train other local counterparts to child poverty measurement (including the MODA tool). Face-to-face training sessions were held in Algiers where participants were introduced to the concepts of child poverty measurement and trained to the application of MODA on a nationally representative dataset (MICS 2012). The face-to-face training sessions were supplemented by remote assistance provided by EPRI/ SPRI.
